O presidente da Sociedade Internacional de Mecânica das Rochas e Engenharia de Rochas (ISRM), Dr. Resat Ulusay, manifestou suas condolências perante o CBMR sobre o falecimento do Prof. Milton Kanji. O presidente, que falou em nome do board da ISRM, grifou a imensa contribuição do Prof. Kanji junto à sociedade internacional, além de destacar sua personalidade gentil e inspiradora. It is of course with great sadness that I learned the news of the passing away of Prof. Milton Kanji from our Immediate Past President Dr. Eda Quadros. On behalf of the ISRM Board, I kindly present you, your Executive Committee members and your members/colleagues our sincere condolences. Prof. Kanji was not only a very good person and good friend, but also one of the active members of our society providing great contributions and services throughout his professional life.
We all know his great contributions to ISRM and its technical commissions and rock mechanics and those will always be remembered. We will miss Prof. Kanji and his smiling face and never forget him as a gentle, kind and polite person, a productive and inspiring colleague.
Please offer his family members all my and ISRM Board members' deepest condolences and symphaty.
